During his second ceremonial swearing-in for the day Saturday, he promised to do what he could to taper federal spending habits, represent all constituents and especially farmers and small business and have a long-term vision.

The Clarence Republican will serve as chairman of the Small Business Committee’s Subcommittee on Healthcare and Technology, which will oversee the implementation of President Obama’s health care law and how it is affecting small businesses.

It is scheduled to meet in Washington, D.C. from January 3, 2013 to January 3, 2015.
