Congressman Collins Announces AEAC Grant Funding for Artpark & Company, Inc.
Congressman Collins (NY-27) today announced funding for Artpark & Company, Inc. to support the presentation of Plasticiens Volants’ “Big Bang.” This grant was awarded through the National Endowment for the Arts’ Arts Engagement in American Communities (AEAC) Program, which is designed to support art projects in all artistic disciplines.
“This grant helps provide the perfect opportunity for our constituents to see, firsthand, the qualities of creativity and originality that artists demonstrate” said Congressman Chris Collins. “The Arts Engagement in American Communities program has an excellent mission, to engage the public in diverse and excellent art. I am glad that Artpark will utilize this funding to present such a unique show.”
The show – Big Bang – is an interactive outdoor performance that will feature giant inflatables suspended over the audience and operated on the ground by actors. Plasticiens Volant is renowned for its style and has been fascinating audiences for forty years, including recently at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
Artpark's performance is also supported by presenting sponsor M&T Bank, Empire State Development, Market New York Grant Program, and the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission.
